The Village of Slocan is getting a huge grant from the Columbia Basin Trust for the purchase of the old mill site. “We are extremely thrilled to announce that the Columbia Basin Trust, through their Land Acquisition Program, has granted the Village $450,000 towards the purchase of the mill site property!”
The press release says that council “will be embarking on an exciting path moving into 2021 – inviting the community to take part in a visioning process for the mill site and for Slocan as a whole – in anticipation of an Official Community Plan (OCP) update.”
